I created a quote sheet for a photographer and realized thah you can use a drop down menu with the "if" function. I used it for additional proofs and locations, and made it easy to change the price. Here is a good website if you need help with the "if" function:

Excel
Excel is an excellent program, but I have found it can get very complex and confusing if you don't continue to use it frequently. I have just finished an assignment for a quote and now that I'm done, I realize how easy this could make my life!!

assignment 17
This is a double sided, tri-fold brochure in full color. The design in this brochure is very creative and relative to the audience. The text is professional and flows well. I don’t like the shade of jade green with the lawn background which primarily green. Using a different color would be more visual pleasing. Overall, the layout and line of this brochure is a great design. The cut out shapes and then the shapes cut out give this brochure a unique touch.

This advertisement is for a watch brand Piaget. The message they are sending is that this one watch has multiple positions you can play with and that is a reason to buy a piaget watch. This ad is an image or lifestyle type. This ad has good visual elements that include a product shot. The headline is the brand name, and under the watches it has a tagline claiming “One watch. Three positions to play with.” The ad is visual pleasing and gives a benefit to the consumer. Overall I believe this ad does a pretty good job ;however, the background if pretty busy and may take away from the actual product.

Five things I learned about using Photoshop and Illustrator together:
1. Build your document the same size in Photoshop and Illustrator
2. You can place a photoshop document in Illustrator as a smart obect
3. By using the blend mode and gradients you can get shape and form
4. Using a bounding box helps know where things should be placed when going back and forth between Photoshop and Illustrator
5. When placing a smart image from Illustrator to Photoshop it is resolution independent. You can update a source file by double clicking on the layer, and it will open to edit in Illustrator.

Composition Technique
Image 1
This image is an example of a centered composition technique. The butterfly is the main focal point that is centered on this photo, as well as the reflection of the butterfly. This image is in a gif file format.Image 2
This is an excellent example of leading lines. The lines are dominant and lead your eyes up and down the wood panels. They provide a visual backbone to the leaf. This image is in a jpeg format.
Image 3
This image is an example of simple composition. There is nothing in the background that distracts from the main focal points, which iare the two animals. This is a good example because of its simplistic nature. This image is in a jpeg for

Example two: Graphic designs
This picture is a good example of rhythm. It shows a repetition of elements and creates a sense of movement. It establishes the pattern of a dive.
Graphic design examples
This is a good example of the principle of dominance. This photo puts a high degree of emphasis on the nokia phone. When you first look at this photo, your eye goes directly to the phone, where the most visual weight is. The secondary elements are the mountains and moon.
